Overall, Paso Robles Wine Country encompasses more than 40,000 vineyard acres within the 614,000 total acres that make up the Paso Robles American Viticultural Area. The most widely planted varieties in the Paso Robles appellation are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, Syrah, and Chardonnay. With more than 200 wineries to explore, we have divided the appellation into “four corners of discovery”. Let us assist you in selecting your corner to discover. San Luis Obispo (SLO) County is a beer-lover’s paradise with a dozen + microbreweries producing award-winning beer. SLO Brew started it all in 1988 in the lively university town of San Luis Obispo. They have since been joined by Central Coast Brewing, Tap It, Creekside, and others. 30-miles north Paso Robles, boasts the highly-decorated Firestone Walker Brewing Co., SLO Brew and Barrel House. Through our community’s passion and conviction towards earth preservation and sustainability the art of distillation was given way. Allow us to escort you to some of our regions finest. This excursion will introduce you to up to three craft distilleries on the Spirit Trail.

Stroll the halls and grounds of Hearst Castle, named La Cuesta Encantada (The Enchanted Hill) by William Randolph Hearst and wife Morgan Hearst in 1947. Regarded as his beloved retreat, this historical estate boasts 165 rooms and 127 acres of gardens, terraces, pools and walkways and is a living museum that showcases W.R. Hearst’s superb European and Mediterranean Castle art collection occupying close to every inch of this historical California castle.
Taking it "SLO"
San Luis Obispo, referred to by the locals as SLO was once dubbed by Oprah Winfrey as “the Happiest City in America”. This historical jewel is tucked between wide beaches, green mountains and miles and miles of hiking and biking trails; giving way to a genuine laid back California lifestyle. Its pedestrian friendly town square with its wide sidewalks offer a natural means of interaction with its community. Stroll through the town and enjoy the local shops, unique dining options, craft breweries, art, and music. Each Thursday SLO presents its historical Farmer’s Market a 34-year tradition; offering six blocks of activity including local produce, street food, and entertainment. San Luis Obispo is home to Mission San Luis and California Polytechnic State University.
